The material that i was using was medium density fiberboard (mdf), and i needed a quick and easy way to end up with a circle that had a nice smooth edge.. A round up of some obvious (and not so obvious) techniques for cutting a circle in a woodworking shop. includes hole saw, sander, band saw, router, table saw and router table methods.. Hi, this is the design which i made for making circle by using routers. it is simple to make. this tool is used for cutting a large circle out of wood..
When i need a circular workpiece for a project, i don't try to get it perfect the first time. instead, i start by cutting the workpiece to rough shape. then to make quick work of sanding the edges smooth (and getting the disk perfectly round), i use a simple sanding jig and a disk sander, as shown. Anyone know a good quick home made jig to do some 22.5 degree angles on the ts for the bottom corners of a triangle (flag case)?. This instructable will show how to make an accurate and easy to use jig for cutting perfect circles with a router. there are many pre-made circle cutting jigs....
